Education<\/h2>\n

In recent years, EOTAS has built a school with boarding houses, so that deaf children from far away or with other travel problems can receive daily education. In addition, the children receive protection, medical care and sufficient food while they are at school. While it goes without saying that in the Netherlands every child is entitled to good education, in Tanzania that is not automatically the case.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deafness, among other things, is often seen as a punishment from God for parental behaviour, which means that many deaf children do not have a fair chance to receive education, if we do not assist children and parents. EOTAS continues to optimize the activities it carries out in Tanzania, so that in the future the school can continue to function with the available local resources. EOTAS aims to ensure that deaf children have sufficient education and knowledge to be self-reliant in the future.<\/p>\n
